Volleyball Game Preview: Newman Catholic Knights vs. North Butler Bearcats

The Newman Catholic Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the North Butler Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Newman Catholic will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Knights walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Meanwhile, North Butler had just enough and edged out Eagle Grove 2-1 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Everything went Newman Catholic's way against North Butler in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Newman Catholic made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
