Softball Game Preview: Enterprise Bulldogs vs. Mize Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Enterprise will face off against Mize. Enterprise will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mize at 6:30 p.m. Enterprise will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Monday. Enterprise blew past Mize 12-2. Considering Enterprise has won 17 contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Meredith Dearman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marlee Brannan, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Dearman wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Enterprise lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Enterprise pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mize, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.
