Given Frederick's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Titans are ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Hagerstown's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Frederick's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for South Hagerstown, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-13.
Everything came up roses for Frederick against the Rebels in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 50-5 win. Does Frederick have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
