Basketball Recap: Geneseo Comes Up Short

Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 53-32 to the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 515th, while the Raiders are ranked 142nd).

Geneseo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Caledonia-Mumford, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneseo will venture away from home to challenge Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caledonia-Mumford, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wheatland-Chili at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Wheatland-Chili: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Caledonia-Mumford has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
