Haven won the last time they faced Hoisington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Haven Wildcats walked away with a 54-42 victory over the Hoisington Cardinals. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Cardinals are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hoisington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kelsi Maier, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. What's more, she also posted three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kinley Wilkens, who scored six points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Haven and bumps their season record up to 11-4-1. As for Hoisington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Haven has already played their next game, a 51-34 defeat against Halstead on the 14th. As for Hoisington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-40 victory against Nickerson on the 14th.
