Baseball Recap: Northampton Gets the Win

Northampton won the last time they faced Allentown Central Catholic and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Konkrete Kids walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Konkrete Kids.

Gavin Pychinka was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Northampton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Casey Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Northampton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Allentown Central Catholic, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Northampton will face off against Whitehall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Zephyrs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Konkrete Kids surely won't give up without a fight. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they will challenge William Allen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
