Baseball Recap: Laughlin Cougars vs. Mohave Accelerated Patriots

Laughlin was the 8-7 winner over Mohave Accelerated when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Laughlin Cougars suffered a rough 14-4 defeat at the hands of the Mohave Accelerated Patriots on Tuesday.

For Mohave Accelerated's part, Cash Keller and Jacek Smogoleski were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Keller tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned run off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). Meanwhile, Smogoleski tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Keller has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Keller scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Smogoleski scored a run while going 2-for-3.
