After a string of 11 wins, Wilmington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prairie Central Hawks.

Molly Southall paced Wilmington's offense, picking up six kills. Southall really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12.

Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Prairie Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-13 record.

Wilmington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Beecher on the 18th. As for Prairie Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Newark on the 18th.
