Football Recap: East Bladen Eagles vs. Hobbton Wildcats
East Bladen entered their game against Hobbton on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

East Bladen lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaden Lewis, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 100 yards. He has become a key player for East Bladen: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. East Bladen suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Hobbton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
East Bladen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 44-6 victory against East Columbus on the 10th. As for Hobbton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Wildcats will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
