Baseball Recap: South Davidson Takes a Loss

South Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the North Rowan Cavaliers, falling 12-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

South Davidson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ronnie Benfield, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Benfield a new career-high. Dalin Johnson was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Rowan, their record is now 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Rowan beat South Davidson by a score of 11-10 later that day.
