Moody had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Auburn Tigers. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 8-5 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Moody's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Auburn, they moved to 22-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Moody will welcome St. Clair County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Saints have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
