Seneca has gone 8-2 against East Newton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Seneca's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Seneca didn't have too much trouble with McDonald County as they won 35-20. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Newton). They put the hurt on Aurora with a sharp 47-21 victory on Friday.

Seneca better keep an eye on Caden Youngblood. He was instrumental in East Newton's win, throwing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also catching one TD. What's more, Youngblood posted five receiving yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Virgil Rosiere was another key player, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.

One reason for the win was East Newton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kenny Barratt and Aidan Wolfe, who racked up four sacks between them.

East Newton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Seneca, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Seneca against East Newton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 63-21 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
