Baseball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Freeland Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bridgeport's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Freeland, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Bridgeport will host Akron-Fairgrove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Freeland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Royal Oak on the 24th.
