Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Bishop Moore hadn't done well against Father Lopez recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bishop Moore Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Father Lopez Green Wave. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Green Wave walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2016.

Harrison Smith looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jesiah Woodside, who scored three runs and stole a base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Danny Garcia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Bishop Moore's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
