Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Lone Peak

The Skyline Eagles are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Lone Peak Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Skyline is leaving town to face Lone Peak after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Eagles came up short against Davis on Tuesday, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Maple Mountain kept up with Lone Peak until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Golden Eagles a 4-0 shutout.

Lone Peak hit Maple Mountain with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Macie Leavitt (2), Kate Fuller, and Nya Piercy.

Skyline suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Lone Peak when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
