Rockland is 8-2 against Leadore since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Rockland Bulldogs will host the Leadore Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Rockland took their matchup with ease, bagging a 51-18 victory over North Gem. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Rockland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexa Permann, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Permann is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Sidney Freeman was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven boards.
Rockland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Leadore entered their tilt with Sho-Ban on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Chiefs to the tune of 68-22. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Rockland better focus on containing Lexi Bird and Katie Mackay as the pair were huge in Leadore's win. Bird dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Mackay almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Mackay a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haylee Bird, who posted eight points.
Leadore pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for Rockland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rockland has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Leadore struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
