Volleyball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Cougars vs. Bishop Brossart Mustangs

Calvary Christian is 0-10 against Bishop Brossart since September of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Calvary Christian came up short against Scott and fell 3-1.

Calvary Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Bishop Brossart entered their tilt with Newport Central Catholic on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Thoroughbreds.

Bishop Brossart easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Bishop Brossart, their victory bumped their record up to 20-9.

Calvary Christian couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Brossart in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
