Volleyball Preview: Philip Scotties vs. Lyman Raiders        
        
		
             Philip is 9-1 against Lyman since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Philip Scotties are on the road again  to play the Lyman Raiders at 6:00  p.m. Philip will be strutting in after a  win while Lyman will be coming in after a  loss.
 Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Philip finally turned things around against Wall  on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Eagles  3-2.
 Philip took Wall into a fifth set  where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 16-25, 20-25,  15-11.
 Philip found their leader in underclassman  Molly Harty, who  had 14  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Harty has posted  in her last 12  contests.
 Meanwhile, Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell  2-0 to Ipswich.
 Lyman was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17,  25-22.
 Philip's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 11-15. As for Lyman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
 Philip was able to grind out a solid  victory over Lyman when the teams last played  back in September, winning  2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Philip since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
