Cartersville takes loss despite strong efforts from Kaytlin Arnold and Senai Camper

Recap: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. North Paulding Wolfpack

The Cartersville Hurricanes lost against the North Paulding Wolfpack back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cartersville took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Paulding. Cartersville has struggled against North Paulding recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Cartersville's loss came despite strong showings from Senai Camper and Kaytlin Arnold. Camper scored 17 points, while Arnold scored 17 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Camper scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoie Shiflett, who scored five points.

Cartersville's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Paulding, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Cartersville will square off against Alexander at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Paulding is on the road again on Friday and play against East Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. East Paulding will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 404th, while North Paulding is ranked 23rd).
