Malden is 8-2 against New Madrid County Central since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Green Wave will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Malden comes in on four and New Madrid County Central on eight.

On Saturday, Malden was able to grind out a solid victory over Portageville, taking the game 11-8.

Meanwhile, New Madrid County Central made easy work of Caruthersville on Saturday and carried off a 17-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Malden's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for New Madrid County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4-1.

Malden couldn't quite finish off New Madrid County Central when the teams last played back in March and fell 6-4. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
