Softball Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

Gilbert suffered their biggest loss since February 27th on Thursday. They came up short against the Desert Ridge Jaguars, falling 10-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Desert Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert will head out to take on Mesa at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Desert Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Sunrise Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Desert Ridge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sunrise Mountain has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
