Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They never let the Tell City Marksmen get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Thursday. It was an even better day for Adara Rainey as she scored five goals for her team.

The win made it two in a row for Washington and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those two games. As for Tell City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington will face off against rival South Spencer at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tell City is set to challenge their familiar foe Mt. Vernon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
