Sunnyside won the last time they faced Amphitheater and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Despite the loss, Amphitheater still got an impressive performance from Emily Simpson, who had five aces.

Sunnyside's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Amphitheater, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Sunnyside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 19th. As for Amphitheater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Palo Verde on the 26th.
