Baseball Game Preview: Stony Point Tigers vs. McNeil Mavericks

For the second straight game, Stony Point will face off against McNeil. Stony Point will square off against McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Things were looking good for Stony Point after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-4 to McNeil, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost three in a row.

For McNeil's part, they let Xander Covar and Joseph Sandusky run wild. Covar went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Sandusky went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave Sandusky a new career-high. Will Hoggard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

McNeil is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-2 record this season. Stony Point's loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1.
