Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Golden Eagles vs. Waggener Wildcats

The Shawnee Golden Eagles will challenge the Waggener Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shawnee has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 24.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Shawnee challenged Eastern on Monday. Shawnee fell 74-64 to Eastern.

Meanwhile, Waggener didn't have quite enough to beat Brown on Friday and fell 37-34.

Waggener's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 6-21.

Everything came up roses for Shawnee against Waggener in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-22 victory. Will Shawnee repeat their success, or does Waggener have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
