Softball Recap: Chartiers-Houston Makes It Four in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Chartiers-Houston rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Seneca Bobcats a 1-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Chartiers-Houston pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca, they moved to 21-2 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Coming up, Chartiers-Houston will square off against Neshannock on Monday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight. Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
