The Western Panthers will square off against the Twin Lakes Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Western is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.
Western had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Oak Hill on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Golden Eagles. Considering the Panthers have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Roe was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Roe was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Western got a massive performance out of Brynley Erb, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Erb has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Jeffers, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Twin Lakes entered their tilt with Lafayette Jefferson on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bronchos by a score of 7-4.
Myley Spriggs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Morgan Rodziewicz and Miya Clerget did most of the damage at the plate: Rodziewicz went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Clerget got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. Leah Shrock was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Western pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Twin Lakes, their record now sits at 12-17.
Everything went Western's way against Twin Lakes when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Western made off with a 16-0 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
