Softball Recap: Maple Hill Takes a Loss

If Maple Hill was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Watervliet on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 10-5 to the Glens Falls Black Bears on Friday.

Quinn Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Maple Hill's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Glens Falls, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Maple Hill will venture away from home to take on Hoosic Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.35 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glens Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Queensbury at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Black Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
