Softball Recap: Estrella Foothills Takes a Loss

Estrella Foothills's last matchup with Buckeye could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Estrella Foothills Wolves came up short against the Buckeye Hawks, falling 14-0. The defeat leaves the Wolves still looking for their first win of the season.

Estrella Foothills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Montano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Estrella Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Buckeye, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Estrella Foothills will challenge Paradise Honors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Estrella Foothills has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Buckeye, they are taking a road trip to challenge Casa Grande at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
