Volleyball Recap: Royall Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Royall won the last time they faced Markesan and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 2-0.

Royall easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21.

Bria Gruen paced Royall's offense, picking up 17 kills. Gruen got some help from Elizabeth Klipstein and her 22 assists. Gruen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Royall has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Markesan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-18.

Royall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against New Lisbon on the 30th. As for Markesan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rio on the 30th.
