Calexico Mission has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Borrego Springs Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Calexico Mission came up short against Julian and fell 60-48.
Despite the defeat, Calexico Mission saw an underclassman step up: Leonardo Longino scored 29 points. That was a full 60.4% of Calexico Mission's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Borrego Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over West Shores on Tuesday, taking the game 51-41.
Calexico Mission's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Borrego Springs, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Calexico Mission came up short against Borrego Springs when the teams last played on January 9th, falling 50-39. Can Calexico Mission avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
