Basketball Recap: Sydney Donaldson Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

Westover saw some tournament action on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over the Liberty County Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Westover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydney Donaldson, who posted 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Donaldson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiya Conway, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Westover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Westover now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Liberty County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Westover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-38 loss against Dougherty on the 20th. As for Liberty County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-36 defeat against Thomas County Central on the 20th.
