Basketball Recap: City View Beats Slaton for Their Seventh Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, City View rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Slaton Tigers with a 49-45 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win (which was City View's seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Slaton, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 28-7.

Coming up, City View will challenge Paradise at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something City View surely won't give up without a fight. Slaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
