Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Estrella Foothills). Everything went their way against the Peoria Panthers on Thursday as Estrella Foothills made off with a 27-10 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Ilse Penaloza Leyva made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those three hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Annasi Dilley was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Jaedene Cruz was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Estrella Foothills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria only managed three hits.

Estrella Foothills picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-13. As for Peoria, their defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
