Softball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin dropped their record down to 10-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westville Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 two weeks ago.

Draycee Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Elli Tittle, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

As for Westville, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.7 runs.

On Westville's side, Lilly Kiesel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits. Kiesel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Laney Cook was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 13 matches. Madison Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will take on Salt Fork at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Normal West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
