Basketball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 50-39 to the Northwest Vikings.

Reagan Mcintyre went supernova for Northwest, putting up 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Mcintyre a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolie O?Hara, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

When Centennial and Northwest next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Centennial will try to stop Sutton's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Meanwhile, Northwest will try to stop Broken Bow's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
