It was a Battle of the Birds when Norwich duked it out with Fairfield on Friday. The Norwich Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Fairfield Falcons 73-45. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Connor Fowler. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Fowler's seventh in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Busick, who earned ten points.

Norwich's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points over those games. As for Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games. That lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season.
