Football Game Preview: Friona Chieftans vs. Canadian Wildcats + Official Tickets

Friona hasn't had much luck against Canadian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chieftans will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friona's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Childress on Friday. They were beaten by the Bobcats 52-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Chieftans were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Canadian played a tough matchup last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Shallowater, falling 52-20. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canadian fell to 4-1. As for Friona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Friona was taken down by Canadian 63-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Chieftans were down 49-0.
