Basketball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lake Belton last Friday, Chaparral came back down to earth. The Chaparral Bobcats were outmatched by the Ellison Eagles and fell 81-45. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Ellison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Chaparral will square off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ellison, they will challenge Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellison is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
