Volleyball Recap: Soldotna Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Kenai Central

Soldotna faced Kenai Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Stars fell just short of the Kardinals by a score of 1-0. The Stars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Kardinals earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Soldotna is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-10. As for Kenai Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 28-5-3.

Soldotna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Sitka on the 11th. As for Kenai Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Homer on the 11th.
