Baseball Recap: Wapahani Comes Up Short at Home Against Greenfield-Central

Wapahani unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 12-9 to the Greenfield-Central Cougars on Monday.

Eli Andrews and Quentine James stepped up to the plate in a big way. Andrews went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while James went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Brock Zickgraf was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Greenfield-Central back to even at 1-1.

Wapahani has already played their next contest, a 17-0 win against Wes-Del on the 10th. As for Greenfield-Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-3 victory against New Castle on the 8th.
