Baseball Game Preview: Washington Huskies vs. James Logan Colts

For the second straight game, Washington will face off against James Logan. The Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Washington 3.8, James Logan 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Washington is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of James Logan.

For James Logan's part, they got a great performance from Keoni Speakman as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave Speakman a new career-high.

James Logan's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
