Football Game Recap: Benton vs. Vinton-Shellsburg

We expected Vinton-Shellsburg to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Benton on Friday, and they did. Vinton-Shellsburg found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-43 punch to the gut against Benton. Vinton-Shellsburg's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it nine losses in a row.

Vinton-Shellsburg are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-9. The win was the 4th in a row for Benton raised their record to 8-1. Both of these squads appear to be finished for the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
