L.W. Higgins proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the St. Mary's Academy Cougars 31-30. The Hurricanes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory got L.W. Higgins back to even at 2-2. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

L.W. Higgins wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against South Lafourche on the 12th. As for St. Mary's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-9 win against Kennedy on the 12th.
