Softball Recap: Oakville Takes a Loss

Oakville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Ocosta Wildcats, falling 26-5. The loss continues a trend for the Acorns in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Taryn Baker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Oakville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Ocosta, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Oakville will be playing at home against Lake Quinault at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ocosta, they will head out to square off against Toledo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
