Softball Recap: Davis Pirates vs. Wenatchee Panthers
Davis extended their losing streak to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 1-17. They lost 22-3 to the Wenatchee Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Friday.
As for Wenatchee, they pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Wenatchee's part, Lauren Waligorski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, Waligorski posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
