Cape Fear Academy is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They took an 83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Croatan.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Lake Prep). They blew past Ashley, posting an 86-47 win. The Pride have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Pine Lake Prep's win came from a few key players Cape Fear Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gary Grear, who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Morgan, who put up six points in addition to ten rebounds and six assists.

Pine Lake Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points. As for Cape Fear Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
