Soccer Game Preview: Ponte Vedra vs. Mosley

The Ponte Vedra Sharks will challenge the Mosley Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponte Vedra is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Ponte Vedra is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Columbia an 8-0 shutout. Give the Sharks' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Columbia from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Natalie McCann led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Mosley sidestepped Fleming Island for a 2-1 victory.

Ponte Vedra's win bumped their record up to 13-3-2. As for Mosley, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-2 record this season.

Ponte Vedra was able to grind out a solid victory over Mosley in their previous meeting back in January of 2015, winning 2-0. Will Ponte Vedra repeat their success, or does Mosley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
