Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Wins Going Away Against Youngker

Buckeye not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th. They blew past the Youngker Roughriders 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Roughriders: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-10.

Elias Ramirez paced Buckeye's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ramirez got some help from Marc Vera and his 23 assists.

Buckeye's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Youngker, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

After both having extra time off, Buckeye and Verrado will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verrado will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Buckeye surely won't give up without a fight. As for Youngker, they will head out to square off against Desert Edge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
