Basketball Recap: Granger Christian Find Success

Granger Christian's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 32-27 W over the Bethany Christian Bruins. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 52-26 win the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Bethany Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kendra Kern, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Kern a new career-high in points. Olivia Mast was another key player, putting up four points and 11 rebounds.

The victory got Granger Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Bethany Christian, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Granger Christian and Clinton Christian will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Bethany Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakewood Park Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
